The 1st Arkansas Consolidated Infantry (1865) was a Confederate Army infantry regiment during the American Civil War. This unit was created in April 1865 from the remnants of Arkansas regiments assigned in the Confederate Army of Tennessee. Another 1st Arkansas Consolidated Regiment had been formed the previous year in the Department of the Trans-Mississippi from the remnants of several Arkansas units which had been captured the at the Siege of Vicksburg and Port Hudson during the summer of 1863. == Organization == The remnants of ten depleted Arkansas regiments, along with one mostly-Arkansas regiment, in the Army of Tennessee were consolidated into a single regiment at Smithfield, North Carolina, on April 9, 1865.〔Sikakis, Stewart, Compendium of the Confederate Armies, Florida and Arkansas, Facts on File, Inc., 1992, ISBN 978-0-8160-2288-5, page 93.〕 The new regiment was commanded by Col.
